Awesome VII: 一起棒 is the theme of the 7th anniversary celebration event for the 21st Penang Boys’ Brigade. The Boys' Brigade (BB) is an international interdenominational Christian youth organisation, conceived by Sir William Alexander Smith to combine drill and fun activities with Christian values.
With a clear objective to have the logotype as the visual focus of the identity, a grotesque typeface was used as grotesques are often bolder in appearance with lots of visual character. Uni Sans was ultimately chosen when designing the logotype because of its slightly softer geometric forms which resonated better with BB's values.
